The first night of festival saw everyone getting settled and embracing the Hillside atmosphere. For what was a relaxed and chilled out day of performances, Michael Franti & Spearhead emphatically brought the energy with their performance that took place late Friday night. With multiple beach balls flying among the crowd, Franti’s performance had the audience jumping with excitement throughout the entire set. Closing the first day of Hillside, Michael Franti & Spearhead set the tone for the rest of the festival with this highly energetic performance.
