With patio season in full swing, it’s always fun and refreshing to get some pals together, go for a stroll downtown, and indulge in a fine brew or two after a hard day of work (or lack thereof). There’s nothing quite like soaking up some sun with a beer, and Guelph’s pub scene is packed with great atmosphere and expansive beer menus for the adventurous imbiber bored of the average pub fare.
Come down to one of these fine joints for a pint—whether it’s a hot date, a hangout with friends, or just buckling down and getting some work done with a cold one, they’ve all got something to offer. And who knows? You might even run into me. Well, let’s be honest, you probably will.

The Ontarion is the University of Guelph’s independent student newspaper. It began in 1951 as part of the Ontario Agricultural College and then began to represent the entire University of Guelph once it amalgamated in 1964. The Ontarion incorporated in May 1970 as The Ontarion, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation registered with the province of Ontario.
