The University of Guelph community is mourning the losses of three community members within the first week of January.
Flags were flown at half-mast on Mon, Jan. 9 in memory of Andrea Karpala, communications manager for the Office of the CIO and Chief Librarian, who passed away on Jan. 2.
On Jan. 11, flags were lowered again in memory of first-year marine and freshwater biology student Farzom Zarifi-Rad as well as studio art professor Laurel Woodcock who both passed away Jan. 7.
The University’s counselling services are available for students by appointment, drop-in services, and after hours resources.
