Student-friendly travel options: Cost-effective camping on the beach for a unique holiday

For those unafraid of a bit of sand in their bed

Planning trips can be super exciting and fun, but they can also be a stressful feat. The amount of money everything can cost combined with making major decisions about places to go and things to do can weigh on your mind. However, there are lots of ways to alleviate this stress and one of them is having someone make travel recommendations.

Even though I have done quite a fair bit of travelling in my time, there are still many things and places that I have yet to experience. Mindful of this, I am constantly reading, researching, and planning new adventures. That is exactly how I came across this cost-effective getaway idea.

There are few people who have not been to a beach or been camping at some time in their life, however, very few of those people can say they have done both at the same time.

Imagine waking up with the best view of the horizon right at the end of your feet.

The ability to customize the trip to your specifications and budget is another reason to take advantage of this idea. Whether you decide to drive to a campsite or beach, or fly somewhere a bit more exotic, you can spend as much or as little money as you would like.

By bringing or borrowing a tent, sleeping bags, and other camping gear, you don’t have to worry about the massive costs that can be associated with finding accommodations. If there is a cost to renting the site for a night, it is unlikely that it will cost as much as a hotel or resort would.

In addition, having a camping stove or gas burner on hand can reduce the price of food, as you can opt for local markets and grocery stores over the restaurants and room service.

You also have the option to drive or rent a campervan with almost everything you would ever need for a road trip. Once again, this option has you cutting costs without cutting quality.

Camping on the beach does require you to be okay with getting a little sand in your bed and anchoring your accommodations with rocks; however, the customizability that this type of trip offers means exploring new and exciting possibilities without having to break the bank.

Plus, this is a trip that can work at any time of the year. You can choose to stick to hotter climates, or test your luck in more moderate ones as well.

With places like Big Sur, Assateague Island, and Cozumel waiting, I am sure there is a shoreline site that is perfect for just about anyone.
