Fan experience takes over Market Square
Rogers Hometown Hockey came to Guelph this past weekend, achieving its goal of bringing community and hockey together.
The event took over Carden Street, Wilson Street, and Market Square with a variety of booths set up. Throughout the weekend, there were many family-friendly activities to take part in, including puck shooting games and mini hockey.

In between main stage events, Guelph band Odd Years played, as well as bands the Centre Icicles and Joydrop.
National Hockey League (NHL) alumni were at the event for signings, including Rick Vaive and Curtis Joseph.
Some of the NHL alumni doing signings have a Guelph connection, including Rich Peverley, who spent some of his childhood in Guelph playing minor league hockey, and Brian Willsie, who played for the Guelph Storm. The current Guelph Storm team was also on site for signings.

If you did not want to wait in line for autographs, there was also a fan experience booth where you could get a virtual autograph or photograph with a variety of NHL players.
The weekend ended with Ron MacLean and Tara Slone, hosts of Hometown Hockey, hosting a pregame show before the live stream of the San Jose Sharks versus the Vancouver Canucks.
