Art on the Street used to foster appreciation of artistic craft
The 15th annual Art on the Street event was held on June 24 and was organized by the Downtown Guelph Business Association and the Guelph Arts Council. The event is an exhibition and sale that attracts all types of art, from paintings to jewelry.Artists used the event not only to promote their own artwork, but to promote an appreciation for art by taking the time to explain the techniques and equipment used to create their pieces. The vendors closed down Quebec Street, with kids events in St. George’s Square and in front of Quebec Street Mall.
