Eight first-time comedians take The Making-Box stage
The Making-Box continued to ring in the new year this weekend with First Timers, where eight first-time stand-up comedians took a crack at performing in front of a sold-out crowd. Host Zoë Barrett-Wood made the show flow seamlessly, but the real stars were the brave comedians doing stand-up before a live audience for the first time.
We had just one question for them: What was it like?

Theresa Martin: Positive vibes, a lot of giggles — the blinding light helped.

Teddy Clarke: It was a blast. Bright enough just to see people’s silhouettes, Great crowd.

Sam Boer: Exhilarating, nerve-racking, and I’m glad I did it.

Rob Mitchell: Oddly comfortable — prior to performing is nerve-racking, but an excellent environment.

Kelly East: Very nervous, but the laughing relaxed me. I felt better after doing it.
