Regarding beard transplants

Trends rise and fall much like the stock market. Although some trends are very strange, such as selfie sticks, planking, and phone pinching, some might be here to stay. Beards are a trend that have been rising for a couple years. The “dirty” beard used to be a middle-class working man look, but according to Google trends, the beard fad started in January 2004 and continues today. There are more and more men growing beards in many different styles and there are even competitions on who can grow the best.

Beards are a popular fashion statement in today’s world, but what do you do if all you can grow is some patchy peach fuzz?  No worries—just get a beard transplant.

Beard transplants are a way of helping facial hair grow in thicker and more evenly. The process is done by moving some of the hair tissue from your scalp and reapplying it to your face. The tissue takes time to become familiar with its new location, but when it does a new, thick beard will grow.

Most people’s questions would be, “why would anyone pay to do that?” It is a strange process, but for some people it is worth it. According to International Business Times, men in New York are paying up to $7,000 for a beard transplant.

I think that if you really want a beard that badly and have the money, then why not do it. Beards look good on a lot of men. They also make men look a lot classier and older when they’re well groomed. There are, however, some flaws in getting the procedure done. The process takes two to five hours and requires a second round of treatment, so booking time off work might be difficult. The new transplanted hairs also fall out after two weeks before the actual hair will grow in again.

If a beard is important to you, but you’re not able to grow one, then get a transplant. Some people may give you questionable looks when you tell them why you need a day off from work, but if you can handle the questions and have the money, then why not?
