CSA external affairs commissioner resigns from post

On Feb. 12, 2016, the CSA’s external affairs commissioner, Asia Barclay, publically announced her resignation. Barclay posted a message to her Facebook account, explaining that balancing school, work, extracurriculars, and her role as external affairs commissioner was too much.

“I have burned myself out for years with balancing school, extracurriculars, and multiple jobs, trying to make money and gain experience for my future, while still doing the work I care about,” said Barclay, in a Feb. 12 Facebook post.

Barclay concluded by thanking all of those who supported her in her role at the CSA.

“I love you so much, and I’m so grateful for everything you have done,” said Barclay. “I’m sorry for any burdens I caused you. Once I get my things in order, I will give back what you have given to me. I am blessed to be part of a community that shares my values and feels like home.”
