A spotlight on finance-based podcasts
A podcast which started from a simple idea—that people want to learn more about personal finance—has grown to be one of the most popular and highly downloaded podcasts on iTunes. The founder, Rob Berger, who is a litigation attorney from North Virginia, started the podcast in 2007 when he had the idea of helping others plan for their futures, avoid rip offs, and invest, by spreading his own personal knowledge and experience. Over the years, the podcasts have grown not only in support, but also expertise, as Berger has researched, interviewed, and gathered information from resources and fellow money- minded people. Now, almost 10 years later, the podcast covers a wide variety of topics surrounding personal finance. One of the most recent podcasts, The Money Binder: How to Prepare Your Finances for Your Death, focuses, as the title suggests, on building a plan and considering options for the later stages of your life, and after you are gone. With these types of topics, which push the envelope and cover topics that can be sensitive but necessary, this podcast is informative and definitely worth the download.
