How to Dress Well releases new electronic album Care

Electronic music meets easy listening

Care is the definition of a modern album. Recently released by American singer-songwriter Tom Krell, known by the stage name “How to Dress Well,” the album has received praise for its dance-invoking, yet sophisticated tracks.

“What’s Up” is the upbeat single on the album showcasing Krell’s melodic and dream-like voice whilst remaining easy listening. It features elements reminiscent of electronic dance music as well as pop and alternative R&B. “What’s Up” is danceable with a strong beat but also relaxed.

The first single “Lost Youth/Lost You” was released in combination with Krell’s first music video, which is artistic and mesmerizing, much like the album. While Care doesn’t feature a wide vocal range, Krell has a unique voice in the sense that it is calming. Slightly slower than “What’s Up,” “Lost Youth/Lost You” could nevertheless be listened to on a night out or for casual listening during the day. Care is truly a versatile album; fans will appreciate that it can be enjoyed in any setting.

Krell released his debut album Love Remains in 2010 and has received critical praise since its release. Following Love Remains, Krell released an EP titled Just Once, as well as two acclaimed albums, Total Loss (2012) and “What Is This Heart?” (2014). Krell is currently on tour with the release of Care with onto two Canadian dates.
