ridiculous things.
Trump has revealed himself as a misogynist, a racist, and the absolute worst candidate for presidency given that the man has no political background. Hillary Clinton, in comparison, comes out smelling like a rose despite some Americans viewing her as untrustworthy due to the FBI probe into her emails while she was Secretary of State.
These two candidates are polar opposites in their platforms and their behaviours. To be honest, if I was American I wouldn’t care about her past scandals—I would be voting for Clinton. Better the evil we know than the one we don’t. Especially since she has experience, but I digress.
Recently, as I was reading New York Daily News, curious about the recent stupidity that is the Trump Campaign, I came across something that made me blink, in hopes I had misread it, titled “#RepealThe19th.”
For those who are not too familiar with the American Constitution, the 19th amendment allows women the right to vote in the U.S.A. This is something women’s suffrage fought for in a 70-year battle. Yet in this day and age, Trump supporters are asking for it to be revoked. Want to know why? Because in a recent graph created for Business Insider, writer Nate Silver showed how the election would turn out if only men voted and vice versa. Frankly, the numbers were unbelievable.
In a graph showing only women voting, Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide with 458 votes while Trump would only have 80.
If only men voted, Silver’s graph shows Trump winning by 350 votes and Clinton receiving 188.
There has even been a hashtag created that is gaining traction on Twitter: #RepealThe19th.

Even worse, instead of complete outrage or shock, female supporters of Trump say they would willingly give up their right to vote if it guaranteed a win for Trump, as seen with Twitter user @London313.
Mercifully, this has been met by outrage from both male and female voters:
Still, the fact that this is the reaction is terrifying. It is terrifying that a basic human right—one that allows an individual to decide who they want in charge of their country, whose values they agree with, who they believe will lead them to a better future and will help their country—can be taken away so someone who would never be put in charge of a goldfish can be put in charge of a country full of people.
Personally, I originally thought it might be a joke, but I have to say I’m not laughing anymore. I’m terrified because there is an actual chance that Trump might win, and if so, God help us all because unfortunately for Canada, being their next door neighbour means we’re going to be affected.
