Rookie Sophie Rodenburg scored the game winner with 2:49 remaining in the third period to clinch the Gryphons ninth win in a row. Guelph sits first in the OUA standings with a comfortable five-point lead over the next best team.
Men’s hockey vs. Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Concordia, and Ryerson

The Gryphons picked up a win and a loss on their Québec road trip, defeating UQTR, the reigning OUA champions, and losing to Concordia. They then faced the Ryerson Rams in the first game of a two-game series, losing 5-2. The Gryphons will get a chance at redemption when they face them again on Thurs, Feb. 9.
Women’s basketball vs. Nipissing and Laurentian

The women’s basketball team defeated Nipissing and Laurentian in back-to-back wins over the weekend. The Gryphons have now won three out of their last four games. Their winning form may have come a little too late however, as they remain in last place in the OUA central standings.
Men’s basketball vs. Nipissing and Laurentian

The men’s basketball team lost two games on the road as they faced strong teams from both Nipissing and Laurentian. The Gryphons sit in last place in the OUA Central standings with three games left in the regular season.
Women’s volleyball vs. Lakehead

The Gryphons faced the Thunderwolves twice over the weekend, defeating them on both occasions. Maddie Dedecker and Victoria Golebiowski were standouts for the Gryphons finishing the weekend with 40 kills, three aces, and six blocks between them.
Men’s volleyball vs. Waterloo
Gryphons 3, Warriors 0
The men’s volleyball team defeated the Waterloo Warriors in three straight sets, winning 25-14, 25-22, and 25-22. The Gryphons will look to increase their win streak to three games when they face the Windsor Lancers at home on Sat, Feb. 11.
