The Gryphons won one and lost one over the weekend and remain in first place in the OUA standings. With two regular season games left, the women are looking good to go into playoffs ranked number one.
Men’s hockey vs. Ryerson
Gryphons 4, Rams 11
The men’s hockey team lost heavily to the Ryerson Rams in their last game of the regular season. Despite the loss, the team has the playoffs to look forward to as they begin their campaign on Thurs, Feb. 17. They will play the Brock Badgers in a best of three series.
Women’s basketball vs. Lakehead

After losing narrowly on Friday night, the Gryphons bounced back for another intense matchup with Lakehead on Sat, Feb, 11. Second-year guard Ivana Vujadinovic stepped inside the-three-point line, scoring the winning basket with one second left on the clock.

After a heartbreaking one-point loss on Friday, the men’s basketball team followed the lead of the women’s team by bouncing back to get the win on Saturday. The Gryphons face Waterloo next week, a must-win game if they hope to make playoffs this year.
Women’s volleyball vs. Windsor and Western

Gryphons 3, Mustangs 2
The women’s volleyball team played their last two home games of the season, beating both Windsor and Western. Coming down to a fifth set against the Mustangs, the Gryphons honoured their graduating players by narrowly winning the last set 15-13.
Men’s volleyball vs. Windsor and Western

The men’s volleyball team swiftly defeated the Windsor Lancers in three sets to zero on Saturday before beating Western in a nail bitter on Sunday. Celebrating their graduating players at “Senior Night,” Guelph won the exciting game against the Mustangs in the fifth set.
Wrestling @ OUA Championships
The women’s team finished with a silver medal, while the men’s team finished in fourth place at the OUA Wrestling championship. Guelph’s Natassya Lu and Gracelyn Doogan won gold in their weight classes, and Lu was also named Women’s Outstanding Wrestler.
Swim @ OUA Championships
The Gryphons finished their 2017 OUA season with the men finishing fourth and the women’s team finishing in fifth place.
