The University of Guelph is mourning the death of Amina Kapadia, who died on Feb. 14 in a house fire in Brampton, Ont. Kapadia was a first-year bachelor of science student.
According to the University’s news release, an official announcement on when the flags will be lowered to half-mast will be provided once more details have been released.
The University of Guelph reminds students that counselling services are available by appointment, as well as drop-in services, and after-hours resources. Additional support will be provided by the Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin to help meet the growing demand for services at the University.
