Holidays come early to U of G
More than 85 original Canadian vendors have sprung up in University of Guelph’s University Centre ready to celebrate the 45th annual Fair November Crafts Show.
From Thursday, Nov. 14th to Sunday, Nov. 17 everyone is welcome to come and check out the abundance of unique handmade items including soap, jewelry, textiles, and food.
Both students and vendors alike are enjoying the experience, “Great food! This is my lunch so I appreciate that,” Brittany Besner, a student at the University of Guelph told The Ontarion. Walking through the stalls, those attending the craft show are encouraged to try samples of everything from chocolates to wine jams spread on crackers.
For one vendor U of G holds a special place in her heart. “I am really happy to be here this year,” says Kristen Melville, founder and designer of Laborde a creative jewelry company. “I use to go to university here. It is very nostalgic and it’s kind of cool to be back after so many years, everywhere I look there is a sort of fun memory. This is just a really great show.”
