Hot Chocolate 2 Ways


Nothing beats sitting inside with a cup of hot cocoa and watching the snow fall, and for that reason, here are two simple recipes certain to warm you up.

Milk Hot Chocolate

What you’ll need:
1 ¾ cups milk
– 3 tablespoons white sugar
– 1 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
– ½ teaspoon cinnamon

How to do it:

In a pot, combine ¼ cup milk and white sugar. Stir on high until the sugar is dissolved and the milk begins to steam.

Add in the cocoa powder and cinnamon and whisk until combined and there are no lumps. Stir in the rest of the milk and heat until warm. Serve immediately.

Dark Hot Chocolate

What you’ll need:

1 ¾ cups milk
– 2 tablespoons white sugar
– 2 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
– ½ teaspoon cinnamon

How to do it:

In a pot, combine a ¼ cup of the milk, white sugar, cocoa powder and cinnamon. Stir on medium until smooth.

Once smooth, add in the rest of the milk and heat until warm. Serve immediately.

Optional add-ins:
  • ¼ teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Nutella
  • Marshmallows
  • Crushed Candy Canes
  • Whipped Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Peanut Butter
