- Transparency: Our reported readership figures are a conservative estimate based on our total copies printed, minus any copies not picked up, and multiplied by the number of readers per copy based on one-on-one interviews with our readers. We strive to ensure that our numbers can be relied on.

As a non-profit organization, we strive to create value for our readers, our volunteers, and our clients. We use advertising revenue to help fund our objective of being an organization that promotes learning, volunteering, and community involvement through journalism and journalistic literacy.

Ontarion Advertising Details & Policy
The Ontarion reserves the right to refuse any advertisements that are deemed discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise against The Ontarion’s policies. All advertisements must adhere to the University’s alcohol policy.
Proofs | The advertiser or their appointee must be available to review ads by e-mail at short notice, as last minute changes sometimes need to be made.
Accounts | Accounts are due when rendered. 1.5% monthly interest is added to overdue accounts. Accounts are overdue 30 days after the invoice date. New advertisers are required to pre-pay at time of booking. Customers will receive full tearsheets with invoices and monthly statements of account.
Errors | Errors must always be reported to The Ontarion within 30 business days of the publication’s release. The Ontarion is not responsible for errors in client-approved ads or reimbursement beyond the ad price for other types of errors.
